Hemel Hempstead Theatre Company at the Boxmoor Playhouse

The Hemel Hempstead Theatre Company is an amateur society performing 4 or 5 productions annually - musicals, light operas, pantomimes, a variety of comedies, serious dramas, thrillers, etc. The company owns and manages its own theatre in Boxmoor (The Boxmoor Playhouse - formerly known as St John's Hall).

Members are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of running a theatre, as well as acting, dancing, singing, directing, stage management, scenery building and painting, makeup, costume. Volunteers also maintain the hall, run the bar, sell programmes and ice creams, etc. Club Night, Thursday evenings at 7.45pm.

The company also has a Youth Group for 11-18 year olds.

The Boxmoor Playhouse is available for hire for private functions. The Hall can accommodate up to 100 people and the Theatre itself can hold 220. Please contact for further details.
