English Miscellany Folk Dance Display Group

The group puts on displays of many types of English traditional dance:
* Country and court dancing;
* Step clog;
* Northwest Morris;
* Cotswold Morris;
* Folk song and folk plays.

Clog Section: Meets on Monday evenings at East Hyde Village Hall, East Hyde.

Country Section: Meets on Wednesday evenings at East Hyde Village Hall (off the B653 between Harpenden and Luton).

North West Section: meets on Sunday mornings at the Red Gables, Rothamsted, Harpenden.

Cotswold Morris Section meets on Sunday mornings at The Pavilion, Rothamsted, Harpenden.

The Song and Mumming Groups meet twice a month - please call for further details.

The group performs at local events, school fetes, festivals and conferences. It offers its services to organisers of events for a fee.

If you are interested in joining the club, please phone for details. The first year is free, thereafter there is a yearly subscription fee and some costs are charged for dance costumes.
Most ages are catered for, you should be fit! There is also a children's group associated with the club.

The group travels abroad most years to visit dance groups; countries visited include France, Belgium, Denmark, USA, Sweden and Germany. Return visits are made by these groups.
