Young Miscellany Folk Dance Group (Harpenden)
Young Miscellany is an enthusiastic young group who enjoy dancing different stlyes of English traditional folk dance including Country Dancing, North West Morris, Step Clog, Stave, Garland, Border, Maypole, Broomdance and Rapper Sword.
The current group has children from ages 6 to 17, and always welcomes new members. Members come from a wide area including Harpenden, Luton, Hemel Hempstead, Hitchin, Welwyn Garden City and beyond.
Young Miscellany has performed at folk festivals, local carnivals, residential homes and at tourist attractions such as Woburn Abbey, Mill Green Museum, Hatfield House and were on television in 2006, CBBC.
Day/time of meetings:
- Usually two Sunday mornings a month from 10.30am-12.30pm
- Venue: Park Hall, Leyton Road, Harpenden, Herts
