Bellydancing (Welwyn Garden City)

Jill is an International Belly Dancer who has appeared in cabaret in more than 17 countries from Iceland to the Sultanate of Oman. Jill, a full Equity member, has featured in a variety of UK TV programmes, and has been teaching for more than 25 years.

Jill originally trained for 3 years at the London College of Dance and Drama and has studied many different oriental dance styles throughout her career, with various well known international teachers, including Egyptian.

Jill teaches belly dancing - mixed styles, mostly Arabic (Egyptian - Traditional and Modern) with some Turkish.

Belly Dance improvers class:

Classes will recommence on Monday 14th April 2008 for 9 weeks, inclusive price £49.50, payable in advance. Class times 8.00pm to 9.15pm.

Classes will be held at Vineyards Barn, The Vineyard, Welwyn Garden City, Herts AL8 7PU, on the following dates:

• 14th, 21st and 28th April
• 12th and 19th May
• 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd June

Within these eight weeks Jill will be hoping to choreograph a short piece for performance by the class. The classes are open to any former students of hers or anyone who has learnt the basics with another teacher (i.e. no complete beginners). The class is almost full so please contact Jill for availability.

Following on from the summer break the improvers class will recomence at the end September. It is unlikely that Jill will be teaching a beginners class again until sometime in January 2009.

After Dinner Speaker
Ms Chartell has more than twenty years experience as an after dinner speaker, with a difference.

The presentation includes history of the dance, her life as a belly dancer (interspersed with comedy and dance), creative work with special needs students, and psychic development.
