The Bookplate Society aims to promote the study and collecting of British and foreign, modern and early bookplates (exlibris).
The collecting and research of bookplates - their historical and bibliographical interests. There are no age limitations. All are welcome
London and provincial exhibitions and specials visits (all optional) are held.
Collectors can exchange bookplates - either privately or at meetings.
They are also enabled to buy bookplates from other members at moderate cost, at bi-annual meetings.
Publications: Bookplate Journal; Bookplate Society Newsletter (bi-annual); a scholarly book on exlibris subjects.
