Summary This organisation is also known as LRTA.

For general enquiries, contact: Light Rail Transit Association by post or e-mail.

The LRTA has 4000 members worldwide and campaigns for improved public transport with tramways taking their "proper place in the spectrum of urban transit".

The organisation, which has been established for over 70 years, keeps professionals and amateurs up to date with developments in tramways and light rail. Each month members receive by post the monthly magazine 'Tramways and Urban Transit' with news and features from around the world about urban transit developments and the latest information about tramways and light rail.

Members have access to a library, while area branches hold local meetings and campaign in support of better public transport and tramway promotion.

Members interested in history can subscribe to the quarterly magazine 'Tramway Review'. The LRTA also produces a range of books.

For booklist and/or membership application forms apply by post to either Publications Officer or Membership Secretary enclosing SAE, or visit the website.

For a full list of Publications please contact the Association.
