This wildlife artist is known internationally for his detailed and dramatic paintings of wildlife, mostly mammals and in particular the great cats.

He has exhibited widely: one-man shows at venues ranging from San Francisco Fine Art Centre to his local museum, joint exhibitions worldwide.

His personal choice is for acrylics, but he undertakes commissions and teaches in all media including oils, watercolour, oil pastels, soft pastels, pencil, and computer graphics.

He is an experienced broadcaster, and is knowledgeable and passionate about conservation issues at home and abroad.

Roy Chaffin offers individual tuition and one-day seminars. He does not normally take bookings for demonstrations to Art Societies, but he does give a limited number of talks and lectures to larger audiences at selected venues.

Clients are welcome by appointment at the Studio and Gallery in Watford. The Studio is open to the general public at least one weekend a year.

Opening Hours: By appointment.
