Artist's statement:
I paint in modern contempory styles. My main topics are sea and lanscapes. The common theme is that I use strong blocks of colour that combine to present visually striking images. However, I continually experiment and develop fresh ideas of using colour in a way that is capable of meeting a dynamic or emotional statement.
I am at my happiest expressing myself on large canvases.
Awards & prizes:
2006 - Abstract image 'Pinkside of the Brain' selected for National Breast Cancer Charity.
Commissions:
Two seasonal canvases 5x2 for Roberto Gerrards Mens Shop, Hertford.
Exhibitions:
I have exhibited successfully at a range of venues in Hertfordshire and Essex. My work has also been shown at the Artshed Gallery in Ware and at the Broxbourne Civic Centre.
Teaches 7-10 year olds, experimenting with colour.
Art forms used: mixed media (water colours, acrylics and pastel).
Member of the Lea Valley Art Society.
