Artist's statement:
Nikki produces figurative and abstract paintings, of various dimensions, using acrylics and collage on canvas and paper. Her work represents an exploration of discovery which forms a dialogue between internal and external environments. She is interested in colour and form, creating images based on her experiences and feelings, which is constantly developing and evolving. In addition to painting, she works as a freelance art therapist and art facilitator, facilitating weekly art sessions with individuals and groups. She specialises in working with people with special needs, providing an environment where people can feel safe to explore their own creativity using a variety of art materials and techniques.

Abstract and figurative works to private individuals.

Open Exhibition - The Place Gallery, Letchworth - 1999, 2000, 2001;
Solo Exhibition - The Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead - 2000;
Solo Exhibition - Open Studios, Hitchin - 1998, 1999, 2000;
Solo Exhibition - The Boxfield Gallery - 1999;
Solo Exhibition - Letchworth Art Gallery - 1999.

Qualifications:
Art Foundation - Watford College;
BA (Hons) Crafts - Crewe & Alsager College of HE;
Art Therapy Foundation Diploma (University of Hertfordshire);
Post Graduate Art Therapy Diploma (University of Hertfordshire).

Facilitates art sessions with the elderly, adults and children with physical and learning disabilities and mental health problems.
Also hold workshops for the above.

Art forms used are clay, paints and collage.
