Artist's statement:
Strong composition, textures and in particular, colour, is all important in Carole's approach to painting. She is inspired by many sources, light on water, a newspaper photograph, rain in puddles. Drawing from the figure is a basis of her craft. Carole works mostly in oils but also in acrylic, watercolour, pastel and often a combination of all these media.
