Eva Oxberry - Textile Artist
Artist's statement:
Eva Oxberry draws her experience in a wide variety of art disciplines, photography, computer graphics and stitched textiles. Her work is inspired by organic structures, light, transparancy often using recycled materials.
Her current work and focus is dealing with the interaction between texture, colour and layered fabrics, exploring the boundaries of textile art.
Awards:
Aberdeen Weavers Incorporation - Education Award 2000.
Exhibitions:
* Petersfield Arts Trail - Hants 2004;
* Embroiderers Guild - 'Touch of Textiles' - Award for All Lottery Grant Exhibition - Petersfield 2005;
* New Designers - London 2002.
Qualifications:
HND Graphic Design 1989;
BA (hons) Design and Craft - Textiles 2002.
Art forms used: photography, watercolour painting, arts quilts, hand / machine embroidery / mixed media.
Member of Herts Visual Arts Forum and the ERTF (Eastern Region Textile Forum).
