Artist statement:
I use the moving image, audio installation and live art performance and either work alone or in collaboration. Over the past few years, I have been involved in exhibitions, residencies and artist projects. In May 2004, I was selected for Commissions East’s artist mentoring scheme and later the same year co-founded the organisation Sensorium Arts to work with artists and community groups.
In November 2005, Sensorium received funding to run a multi-disciplinary community arts project relating to the Festival of Fireworks, Cheshunt. Working with groups of children and young people in the area, I produced a video relating the story of the Gunpowder Plot which was projected at the Festival so people could gain a better understanding of political and social events leading up to the conspiracy.
I have worked with organisations including: Connexions, Courtyard Arts, Herts CC, Islington City Learning Centre, The Place Arts Centre, Young Carers, YOT, Youth Service, primary and secondary school children and elders on reminiscence projects. I am CRB checked and have p.l.i of £3m.
