St Albans Art Society

This Art group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm during the Autumn and Spring term.

The current principal activities of the Society are:
* Demonstrations of media and techniques by acknowledged experts.
* Studio sessions for practice in working with life, costume and portrait models.
* Outdoor sketching sessions in local settings during the summer months.
* Workshops providing occasional whole day demonstrations and coaching.
* Outings to important galleries in London and elsewhere.
* Exhibitions of members' work, normally once each year in the summer.
* Newsletters with periodic information on current and forthcoming events.

Anyone wishing to participate actively may join the society as a member, membership runs from October-September. A lower rate of subscription is available to students and also to those who only attend lectures, demonstrations and social events.
