Berkhamsted Art Society

Monthly meetings are held between September and April. These include demonstrations by well known artists in various media, and talks on art-related subjects. These meetings are open to all, with a small entrance charge for non-members (£2.00). Held on weekday evenings at 8.00pm.

In addition there are drawing evenings for which members bring their own materials to paint or draw. Not open to non-members.

Weekly summer outdoor painting sessions are held on Monday evenings (June to September), no charge for these to non-members.

Two major exhibitions of members work are held annually, May and December at Civic Centre, Berkhamsted. Open weekdays Monday-Friday 9.00am-6.00pm and Saturday 9.00am-5.00pm. Over 400 items on display and for sale.

Non painters are welcome as are those interested in pottery, sculpting or wood-carving. Videos are available for members to borrow, free of charge.

Between January and June there are some one-day Saturday workshops. Held at Ashley Green they cover oils, watercolour, mix media, pottery, etc. Cost: £25.00 for the day.
