Programme for 2008/9 includes lectures on a variety of fine art related subjects, three outings to places of interest and two study days which look at a subject in more depth:
- 6 March - The Partnership of Gertrude Jekyll and Sir Edward Lutyens
- 3 April - Netherlandish Influences on Italian Art
- 1 May - Charles II, his Mistresses and their Families
- 5 June - Murderers, Magicians, Madmen and Monarchs; Shakespeare
- 3 July - The Treasures of Tutankhamen
- 4 September - Shadowplay - the Dramatic Art of Caravaggio
- 2 October - Chelsea, Worcester, Bow and Derby
- 6 November - Walnut Furniture from 1660 to 1740: “The Age of Walnut”
- 4 December - The Rise and Fall of the English Music Hall
- 5 February 2009 - Romanticism and the Individual
- 5 March - Outing St Paul’s Cathedral for an Evening of History and Music.
- 16 June - Outing Loseley Park and Watts Gallery.
- 16 October - Outing Osterley Park and Chiswick House.
- 13 March - Study Day The Grand Tour and its effects on English Gardens
- 13 November - Study Day Kingdom in the Sun/Classical and Medieval Sicily
Lecture meetings are held at Plinston Hall, Letchworth on the first Thursday of the month at 11.00am and 2.00pm. Visitors are welcome at £5.00 per lecture (which is refundable if they decide to join on the day).
