Painting For Pleasure (North London)

Painting for Pleasure classes are art classes for adults of all levels of ability and experience. Classes cover Watercolour techniques, pastels, oils, acrylics, drawing techniques from a variety of subjects (still life, life/portrait models, landscape). The 'Life' class is held on Tuesday morning, with students offered the opportunity to work from inspiring and experienced models.

Classes are daytime for all ages adults. Trips to galleries run several times a year (eg to National Gallery, Tate Gallery and Royal Academy). These are optional extras.

Exhibitions are every now and then where students' work is displayed in local libraries. Some work is for sale.

Short courses available in Life/Costume painting and landscape painting (summer only).

Students are encouraged to build up their own styles of work within a friendly, informal atmosphere.

* Tuesdays:
- 10.00am-12.30pm at Oakwood Methodist Church, Westpole Avenue, Cockfosters;
* Thursdays:
- 10.00am-12.30pm at Oakwood Methodist Church;
- 1.30pm-4.00pm at Oakwood Methodist Church.
