This is a leisure pursuit, learning and enjoying for children, teenagers, young mums, retired people or anyone looking for a hobby, in a relaxed atmosphere.
Students are of mixed ability, working at their own pace and level in small, friendly classes. The students learn to use different mediums including, pencils, pens, crayons, pastels, watercolours or mixed media and are encouraged to develop their own style.
The subjects vary from still life, illustrations - including manga, or using their own imaginations.
Day/Time of classes:
* Children (from the age of 6 years) - Mondays from 5.00pm to 6.30pm.
* Adults - Wednesdays from 10.00am to 12noon or 1.30pm to 3.30pm or 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Term dates
* Children - March 31st to July 21st; September 8th to December 11th 2008.
* Adults - April 2nd to July 30th; September 10th to December 11th 2008; 2009 - January 5th to Easter.
Fees:
* Children £28 for 4 lessons
* Adults £54 for 6 lessons
Payable in advance from the first week of attending classes
June Copping also teaches craft classes including, tea bag folding, parchment craft, decoupage, Iris folding, by arrangement.
June has been teaching art since 1990, with students ages ranging from 6 to 90 years old. A number of her students have attended her classes for several years.
June's personal preference is for painting nature - flowers, people, village scenes, fruit, vegetables or animals in mixed media. She is an accomplished watercolourist and her love of artwork shows through in the standard of her finished work.
Classes are small and friendly, working at your own pace, covering various mediums including pens, pencils, watercolour, pastels and mixed media.
