The RSGB is the UK's internationally recognised national society for all radio amateurs. It aims to represent the interests of all radio amateurs and short wave listeners.
The RSGB provides its members with a monthly magazine, book discounts, members-only web site, free internet access, QSL bureau, contests and awards, aerial planning advice, EMC advice, and insurance.
The RSGB see the society as:
* A springboard for young people wanting a career in electronics;
* A hobby for people wanting to make new friends from their own front room;
* A lifeline for disabled people to make new friends worldwide and avoid isolation in their homes.
Radio Communications Foundation is an independent charity set up by the Radio Society of Great Britain. The objective of the charity is the science and practice of radio communication and electrical engineering and to promote the wider benefits to the public resulting from such education and training.
The HQ, located near South Mimms Motorway Services, include The Book Shop (open Monday to Friday); and the National Amateur Radio Museum and Library and the GB3RS Shack (open Monday and Thursday only, or by prior arrangement; also one Saturday morning a month during the summer, please phone to check).
