East Herts Hospital Radio started as Radio Hertford in 1973, broadcasting to patients in County Hospital, Hertford and the QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City from 1977 - the station has also recently moved to QEII.
We provide hospital radio entertainment to the patients at QEII Hospital. We are staffed entirely by volunteers, who broadcast programmes, collect requests from patients, fundraise, maintain and develop our studio equipment and help keep the staion on the air. We also run a disco roadshow, available for private discos and also for public address at fetes and carnivals in the area.
