The Society meets at Elm Court Youth and Community Centre, Mutton Lane, Potters Bar on alternate Wednesdays from 8.00pm to 10.00pm.
The members are a friendly group, always willing to share their expertise and learn from others. Plants are offered for sale at many meetings.
The Society aims to help, guide, instruct and inform persons interested in horticultural matters. Their fortnightly meetings consist of talks, slide shows, and demonstrations on all aspects of horticulture.
All ages from 18 to 80+ are catered for, and new members are very welcome. Spring, Summer and Autumn flower and vegetable shows are held (domestic classes also included). Their annual programme is issued at the start of each calendar year.

The society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society.
