The Royal National Rose Society is the world's oldest specialist plant society. With it's main aim to support England's favourite flower for future generations by means of education, science, International Rose Trials and liaison with members of the British Rose Trade.
The Society also maintains the world famous
Gardens of the Rose showcase in St Albans, with over 20,000 roses old and new, colourful and wonderfully fragrant. The Gardens are open from 12th June inclusive to 1st August in 2010, from 10.30am to 5.00pm. 2nd August to 26th September 2010 weekends only from 10.30am-5.00pm, unless by appointment.
Entry charges are £6.00 per head with a reduction too £5.00 per headh for groups of 20+. Accompanied children under 16 are free and dogs are welcome on leads. Society Membership is available in advance at a cost of £26.00 for single membership which gives entry to the gardens for one year with a guest and £35.00 double allowing our members to bring two guests.
