This is a statutory allotment site with devolved management and a long term lease to the Association from Hertsmere District Council. Organic vegetables are grown by many members.
The site has a south-east facing slope with 119 ten pole plots (approx. 30'x 90'), 106 are let for 2006.
Half plots are encouraged for new members or even quarter plots, especially for children.
Grass cutters available free on site and rotovators are lent by the hour for a small charge. A Sunday morning shop sells fertilisers, composts, pesticides etc. The site is fenced with lockable gates and has parking on site. Horse manure is usually freely available.
Any persons interested should visit the site on Sunday mornings between 9.30am and 12.00noon.
Venue: Allotment site, off Highview Gardens, Southgate Road, Potters Bar.
Opening Hours:
Site open all year.
Shop open Sundays 9.00am to 12.00noon.
