Texas Rangers Co. A (Hemel Hempstead)

The Texas Rangers Co A wild west show team were formed over 20 years ago. The basic aim of the group is to help raise money for the Riding for the Disabled at Gaddesden Row.

The group has over 20 members, young and old, male and female, they are always looking for new members. They cater for all ages, but they ask that children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult. The group goes round fetes, fundays and other events.

They try to make their sketches and costumes as authentic as possible, this also includes their guns. The shotguns, Winchesters and the cannon are all on license, either shotgun or firearms. They only use blank ammunition but this can still be dangerous; this is why they double-rope arenas and post marshals around the inside of the arena.

Over the last few years they have raised in excess of £5000 for their charity.

Members meet on the last Sunday in the month from 3.00pm (unless there is a show on).
