Commonwealth War Graves Commission
Founded in 1917, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission is responsible for the commemoration of members of the armed forces of the Commonwealth who fell in the two world wars. The Commission tends over 1 million graves in burial grounds across the world and memorials for those who have no known graves.
The Commission's web site (www.cwgc.org) gives access to the Debt of Honour Register, a searchable database of names, rank and service, date of death and location of commemoration.
