The historic site of Salisbury Hall was chosen by the de Havilland Aircraft Company in 1939 to design and build the Prototype DH98 Mosquito Aircraft.
The de Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre (incorporating the Mosquito Aircraft Museum) is the oldest aviation museum in Britain, dedicated to the preservation of the prototype de Havilland Mosquito, and various other de Havilland aircraft engines, memorabilia and a selection of de Havilland products. There are 20 types of de Havilland aircraft and sections on display ranging from Moths to modern DH military and civil jets. Selected aircraft are allowed to be entered. A storyboard of the de Havilland enterprise is on display. A collection of DH engines are also on display.
There is an active restoration programme, and events which include vintage and classic car and motorcycle, model exhibitions and memorabilia fayres.
Opening Hours:
* Open 1st Sunday in March to last Sunday in October;
* Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 2.00pm-5.30pm;
* Sundays and Bank Holidays 10.30am-5.30pm.
Group visits welcome by appointment. School and college visits by appointment. Guided tours all with an introduction talk. Membership of Heritage Centre welcomed. Volunteer workers in various fields welcome.

Directions: Located off Junction 22 on M25. Bus 84 stops at the outside entrance driveway.
Catering: Light refreshments, hot and cold drinks available from shop. Catering facilities available by appointment only.
