Lowewood Museum is housed in a fine Georgian building dating from the 1750's.
The Museum contains a fascinating cross-section of artefacts, photographs and pictures which bring the local history of the borough to life, from prehistoric times to the present day. The Museum also holds temporary exhibitions of both local and general interest.
The Petter, Braham and Atkinson Galleries contain displays which portray town life, the early history and geology of the borough.
Arrangements can be made for group visits outside normal opening hours.

Opening Hours: Wednesday, Thurday, Friday and Saturday 10.00am-4.00pm.
