The Museum has a c1700 brick facade concealing the two earlier stone houses. There are two buildings that house the collection of William Cowper and John Newton.

This is a small independent museum which exists mainly on voluntary contributions and occasional grants. Friends and volunteers are essential for the continued success of the museum. If you enjoy visiting museums and gardens and would wish to see museums like theirs continue in existence why nor become a friend or volunteer of Cowper and Newton Museum.
The Friends enjoy free entry to the museum and gardens, various social events are held during the year and a newsletter is mailed to all Friends. Membership is £5.00 for individuals and £8.00 for a joint membership (£6.00 overseas friends individuals and £10.00 overseas joint).
Opening times:
1st March to 23rd December: Tuesday to Saturday 10.30am-4.30pm.
Also bank holiday Mondays and Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Race), Closed Good Friday.
