Tring and District Local History and Museum Society exists to advance the education of the general public in the history of Tring and surrounding area, in particular by the provision of a museum; also by meetings, lectures, exhibitions and publications.

In 2006 the Society took a lease on a building at Tring Market Place, Brook Street, Tring is now restoring it to open as a local history museum. This will be run by volunteers. New members are always welcome.

The cost for membership for 2009:
