The Society runs Potters Bar Museum at the Wyllyotts Centre on behalf of Hertsmere Borough Council. Opening times for the Museum are:
* Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2.30pm-4.30pm;
* Saturdays 11.00am-1.00pm.

The society holds up to eight monthly meetings a year. The meetings start at 8.00pm and are usually held on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday once in any month from September to May, excluding December.
Venue: 60 Plus Centre at the Wyllyotts Centre.
The primary tasks of the Society are to record the changing scene in the local area, to carry out research into how the area used to be, and to encourage the preservation of buildings, monuments, documents and other evidence. The society organises visits, excavations and publications.

Membership costs £3.00 per year, £5.00 for a family.
