The Group was formed in 1990. It aims to promote an understanding and respect for the civil parish and where possible dislay, publish and print items for present and future generations to enjoy.
The group carry out research into the history of the civil parish that covers the villages of Gosmore and St Ippolyts and the hamlets of Ashbrook, Little Almshoe, St Ibbs and former New England.
Current projects include transcribing the parish registers. They record changes taking place today in the locality as part of the HALH's Recorder Scheme. They monitor planning applications and policy. They enter community events when requested into the Comet, Town and Around courtesy of the local newspapaer.
The group publishes books and leaflets and gives guided walks.
Open events are usually held in St Ippolyts Parish Hall.
