The Nazeing History Workshop are actively researching the history of Nazeing village.
Their aims are:
* to seek out written and oral information;
* to record the information, mainly on computer databases;
* to share the information by publishing books and articles, giving talks, and participating in displays and exhibitions.
Computer database records are held of:
* Parish Registers from 1634;
* Census records 1841 - 1891;
* Tithe returns;
* Parish Land Survey of 1824;
* Historic Houses;
* Nazeing Wood/Park (The Common).
Monthly meetings are held in members' houses.
