Hertfordshire Association For Local History (HALH) brings together local historians in Hertfordshire through a regular newsletter and journal, a spring meeting, a symposium, and an annual garden party.
HALH assists and encourages member societies by making pump-priming loans, giving advice and supplying a list of speakers and guides for their topics. HALH also co-operates with other organisations such as the Hertfordshire Record Society and the local branch of the Historical Association and represents the views of local historians at a county level. It also runs a Recorder Scheme to assist in the collection of modern material for future historians.
Symposium is held on a Saturday, early in November.
