Hatfield Local History Society is an association of people interested in the History of Hatfield.
Who are they and their aims?:
They are a lively, friendly group always welcoming new members. They have a small annual membership subscription of £5.00.
* They encourage and undertake research on Hatfield's history.
* They produce publications and exhibitions on Hatfield's people and subjects.
* They provide a forum for the exchange of information on Hatfield related history and issues.
* They publicise the societies work and interests, respond to relevant issues and enquiries.
* They have an ongoing programme of talks and newsletters.
* They are establishing a database of information for future generations, through oral history, general research and the study of historic documentation.
The society holds regular meetings throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7.30pm and alternate months on 2nd Thursday of month at 2.30pm. Meetings are held at Friendship House, Wellfield Road, Hatfield. Ample car parking available.
