The society meets at Manor House Sports and Social Centre, Abbots Langley, map ref 166/092017.

Monthly winter evening lectures 8.00pm-10.00pm, on the last Monday of the month (September-April inc.).

Founded in 1994, this society caters for all who are interested in the history of Abbots Langley and district. There are summer walks and occasional visits to places of local interest.

Subscription is £4.00 per year, family membership is £6.00 (June 03). The Society has around 200 individual members. Non-members are welcome at all meetings.

The Society's aims are to encourage interest in the recent and distant past history of the area, particularly the landscape, buildings and the people. Members are encouraged to undertake individual research projects and to record history as it is being made now by photographing and writing about significant events.

ALLHS Journal (twice yearly, May and November) 75p per copy.
