Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA)
MLA is a strategic agency, sponsored by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, working with and on behalf of Museums, Archives and Libraries. It replaced the Museums and Galleries Commission and the Library and Information Commission in April 2000.
MLA's roles are to provide strategic leadership, to act as a powerful advocate, to develop capacity and to promote innovation and change.
