The National Monuments Record (NMR) is the public archive of English Heritage. The NMR holds over 8 million photographs, covers all oarts of England and includes images of modern and historic buildings, streetscapes, gardens and archaeological sites from the ground and from the air. The NMR also holds thousands of plans drawings and reports. The NMR offers remote enquiry services for all and welcomes visitors to its public search room in swindon.
