St Albans and District Centre of the National Trust, The

This group meets at:
Sandringham School, The Ridgeway, St Albans;
Francis Bacon School, Drakes Drive, St Albans; and
Park Hall, Harpenden (twoe meetings per year).

Also at Jersey Farm Community Centre (three afternoon meetings per year).

The group meets on the fourth Thursday in the month (excluding June, July, August and December), at 2.00pm in January, February and March and 7.45pm on the other months.

Formed in 1971 to give local National Trust members the chance to meet each other and enjoy talks by experts on a variety of topics, travel by coach to various places of interest (not only NT properties), take part in group walks and other activities.

The group also promotes the work of the National Trust, helps at local properties Shaw's Corner and Ashridge, and assists in fund-raising for the Trust, which is a registered charity.

Membership (as at April 08): £9.50; £6.50 for each additional member at the same address. Visitor's donation £3.00.

Date of AGM: 1st Thursday in June

Publication: Newsletter for members 3 times a year.
