The Stroke Club is a voluntary run social club which began in 1989, for people who have suffered a stroke.
The aim is to provide support and a chance to meet other people who have similar disabilities. There is a fairly busy programme which includes slides, speakers and outings.
The club is open to all adults who have suffered a stroke at any time in their lives, subject to places being available. The club welcomes volunteer helpers and drivers and aims to transport disabled members living in the Hertford and Ware area, subject to resources.
Please contact the chairman or secretary for details of their current provision.
The cost is £3.00 per term to cover affiliation fees and insurance. Where appropriate, £2.00 a term is requested for gifts to volunteer drivers.
