ASPIRE

Aspire works with people with spinal cord injury to create opportunity, choice and independence. It has a Professor of Disability and Technology who focuses on technology to improve mobility, promote independence and autonomy, restore lost body functions and enable spinally injured people to make the most of their lives.

Aspire funds research projects, runs ASPIRE housing with an Independent Living programme and has a fully intergrated sports and rehabilitation centre, which includes a 25m swimming pool with a ramp, sports hall, fitness studio, and dance studio.

Aspire finances special wheelchairs and equipment for spinally injured people.

Aspire has a training suite where integrated IT courses are run.
