This Association was formed in 1982 and is a National Registered Charity. Many of the members have had major heart surgery. Membership is open to all cardiac patients.
The aim of the organisation is to offer support, reassurance and practical advice to all cardiac patients and their families. The work is purely voluntary.
The Association is building up a network of area groups throughout the British Isles where members can meet together at regular intervals. It can be very helpful to talk to somebody who has already experienced cardiac problems and heart surgery.
The national helpline is run by volunteers who are cardiac patients who can appreciate your fears and anxieties. Please feel free to call at any time.
There is no question of anyone being asked to enrol; the help is quite unconditional. Any volunteers wishing to help in an Association will be welcomed.
