National Centre for Eating Disorders

The National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED) is a national organisation providing treatment and support for persons affected by eating disorders and in particular compulsive overeating and bulimia.

The NCFED offers a range of services including:
* A UK wide network of counsellors with professional qualifications in counselling therapies and with an approved qualification in eating disorders;
* A telephone helpline and telephone therapy for persons with eating disorders;
* Online self help programmes for binge eating and Bulimia Nervosa;
* A comprehensive range of information leaflets on all aspects of eating disorders and related issues such as body image and exercise addiction;
* A tutorial service on eating disorders for students at all levels from schools to college and further education;
* Accredited training in eating disorers and obesity (see website for details);
* An annual conference and training day for members.
