This organisation was founded in 1967 and provides a range of services dedicated to meeting the health, welfare and legal needs of drug users and those around them. Release established the first ever national drugs helpline. Release organise training for people working in the field of drug abuse.

Release Publications produce a range of publications and educational literature on the legal and health aspects of drug use, using their specialist knowledge of the street drug scene. A range of leaflets is available on drugs and the law.
