Alzheimer's Society (Harrow and Hillingdon Branch)

This local branch aims to give information and support to carers of people with dementia. This is done one-to-one over the phone or in any of five support groups:

First Wednesday in the month at 2.00pm: For carers of persons with dementia, at the Templeton Centre, Joel Street, Northwood Hills HA6 1NL.

First Thursday in the month at 6.30pm at Templeton Centre.

Second Wednesday on the month at 10.30am at Hillingdon Park Baptist Church.

Drop-in Cafes for people with Dementia and their carers:
Every Tuesday 10.00am-1.00pm Templeton Centre, Northwood Hills;
Every Friday 10.00am-1.00pm Hayes Community Centre, Hayes.

The Alzheimer's Society provide advice, support and information to persons with dementia and their carers. Day care is also provided focusing on the needs of younger people (under 65) with dementia.

Special training courses for carers are also provided.

It costs £8.00 per annum to join the society, but this is not essential for local participation.
