Alzheimer's Society (Dacorum)

Monthly support group meetings are held at the Day Centre, High View Lodge, Cherry Orchard, Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead on the third Monday of each month at 7.30pm-9.30pm. The Saturday Club provides weekend day care for people with dementia at the Hemel Hempstead Day Centre.

Other local activities include: pub lunches, early onset group for those under 65, coffee mornings once a month, fundraising activities, social events, show and theatre trips. Alzheimer's Cafe in Tring run fortnightly by the Tring Support Worker.

Office Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am-3.00pm (hours may vary please ring before calling in).

Aims of the Society:
* to give support to families and others concerned with Alzheimers Disease and other dementias;
* to provide practical help and information on Alzheimers Disease and related disorders;
* to provide guidance for the carer and training for professionals concerned with people with dementia and their carers;
* to promote and press publicly for adequate and high quality services;
* to raise public awareness and to generate funds.
