The Macmillan Palliative Care Team aim to:

* Provide support and information to patients, relations and friends. Referrals for contact to the Macmillan team are made by - self referral, referral by relative or friends, GPs, Consultants, Nursing staff and Social workers etc.

* Act as a resource for their colleagues, support on pain and symptom control.

* Provide education formal or informal. Talks are given to voluntary groups on Macmillan service within their catchment area.

* Prostate cancer support group contact on 01438 781521.

* Breast cancer support group contact on Tel 01438 781221.
