The purpose of Leukaemia Research is to find cures for all forms of leukaemia and the related cancers of the blood in children and adults, including Hodgkin's disease and other lymphomas and myeloma.
Leukaemia Research believes that this can best be achieved by:
* A national concerted approach to research and to raising the substantial funding needed for it.
* Subjecting its work to the careful scrutiny of an independent Medical and Scientific Advisory Panel whose expertise is complemented by reference to specialists worldwide.
Leukaemia Research depends entirely upon voluntary contributions. The Charity comprises a national network of voluntary fundraising Branches, supporters and friends who are committed to the above mission and the means of achieving it.
The nationwide fund raising enables Leukaemia Research work to continue in these five main areas:
* Research Projects;
* The Research Development Programme;
* Patient Care;
* Training and development;
* National and International collaboration.
Leukaemia Research is the only national charity devoted exclusively to leukaemia and the related blood cancers in children and adults.
