The Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity offers therapeutic support and development to men, women and their supporters following a cancer diagnosis.
The Charity has opened four cancer centres with a fifth in the pipeline. It also has a five-day residential programme in Donegal, Ireland.
1. The Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centre, Rochelle House, in Chelmsford, offers cancer patients complementary therapies including reflexology, massage and manual lymphatic drainage as part of their treatment programme. They can also receive counselling and find information about their illness.
2. The Helen Rollason Chemotherapy Suite is located at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. It provides spacious facilities that can cater for many more patients - patients who would otherwise have to travel great distances from home for vital treatment that can last the whole day.
3. The Helen Rollason Research Lab in conjunction with Anglia Ruskin University is located in Chelmsford. It is conducting research into molecular oncology and could have a profound effect on the treatment of cancer for years to come.
4. The Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centre at the North Middlesex Hospital, Edmonton, London, offers complementary therapies along the same lines as Rochelle House.
5. In 2004 the Charity opened its Live Well Experience, a five-day residential programme for people touched by cancer, situated in Co. Donegal, Ireland.
The Charity does not receive any government funding and relies solely on funding from public donations.
