Arthritis Research Campaign. National

National medical research charity funding over 300 research projects in centres of excellence throughout the United Kingdom.

There are over 60 patient literature titles available for sufferers of Arthritis and Rheumatism.

The aims and objectives of this organisation are:

* to raise money for research into the causes and cures of Arthritis and Rheumatism.
* to promote a better understanding of rheumatic diseases amongst patients and doctors along with the others concerned with patient care and treatment.
* to encourage the provision of better treatment for all who suffer from Arthritis and Rheumatism.

Arthritis can affect all ages from 6 months upwards. Chronic Junvenile Arthritis affects 1 in every 1000 children. There are 500 local fund-raising groups througout the UK including groups in St Albans, Watford, Welwyn, Berkhamsted, Broxbourne and other locations in Hertfordshire.
