Breathe Easy North Herts (Part of The British Lung Foundation)

* Venue for meetings:
Great Ashby Community Centre, White Horse Lane, Great Ashby Way, Stevenage, Herts.

* Meeting times:
Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 2.00pm (except Bank Holidays).

This self-help group was set up for people living in North Herts who have chronic lung disease, their families and carers, e.g. asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, fibrosing alveolitis, lung cancer, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, etc. The group is a member of the British Lung Foundation, a registered charity.

The group attempts to offer:
* Mutal support from others with similar problems;
* Monthly meetings to meet others with similar problems and information;
* Guest speakers on a variety of topics;
* Fact sheets appertaining to the topics presented;
* A range of free leaflets on lung conditions and related issues;
* A chance for partners and friends to learn more about lung diseases and everyday problems, and talk to others who are in supportive roles;
* An opportunity to participate, no matter how little in fund-raising for vital research.
