SANDS provides support for bereaved parents and their families when their baby dies before, during or soon after birth. The key elements of that support are:
- National telephone helpline service.
- UK-wide network of local self-help groups run by and for bereaved parents.
- Information and Publications for bereaved parents and healthcare professionals.
- Our website offers information, resources, personal stories and help with the many choices that parents need to make.
- Our Support Forum provides a place on-line where people can connect with others whose baby has died.
SANDS also works in partnership with health professionals to imporve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families and promote research and change in practice that could help to reduce the loss of babies lives.
